Next Exhibition: ART IN MIND, London
It is incredible... one month before my moving to London I will be exhibiting there! Yes, I was invited to show my work at Brick Lane, London... an area which has now broadened to being a vibrant art and fashion student area, with considerable exhibition space. A kind of New York Soho, but in London.
My work will be part of a two week group exhibition “Art in Mind”, at Brick Lane Gallery: 15th July – 28th July with a preview opening night on Wednesday 16th July between 6-9pm

Seven at Saatchi
Last year I paste some of my work in Saatchi Online. Nothing happened. Today, thanks to that site, I was contacted by a gallery in London which is interested to show my work in a group show there. I couldn't be more lucky: now that I am moving to London I already have a proposal to show my work on september!
And just then I have seen that Saatchi has interesting chances for "Europe based artists", so I want to make profit of that and I decided to enter to the next online competition. I Have chosen "Seven" (7 poliptic, oil on canvas, 100 x 30cm each one) Could you please give me a note for my painting, Just click on:
Seven at Saatchi
No pasó nada.
Sólo denle click a:

June 08 watercolors & sketches
Before I start making my watercolors direct from model I warm up my hand doing some sketches with a common ball-point pen. Here I am posting the 3 watercolors I like most of my last session and a pair of warm up sketches.

Acapulco & Coyuca
The last time I visited Acapulco was 18 years ago. We were there after being a whole week in Puerto Escondido, one of the best beaches I have ever been and after that I was really disenchanted...
But again one of my painter friends: Rosario invited us (the painters group) and this week I was there again. My experience was completely different because she and her husband know well Acapulco and they took us to fantastic places. The best was Barra de Coyuca, a dream place where a lagoon and the Pacific Ocean almost touch.
The first two pics belong to this enchanted place. It was a surrealistic experience, because we were alone in that beautiful lagoon surrounded only by exotic birds with so many colors that they would be competing with my oils :) the water was as hot as in a bath tube and the lagoon was in some places very deep and in some spots so flighty that it enabled us to put a table and drink some mezcal there.

I love plants, and I even love more trees...
When my children were still babies I once found a small plant at the terrace. I realized it was not a bush but a baby jacaranda tree and in order to plant it later, I put it in a bigger pot waiting for the time I would be able to plant it. I wanted to plant it in a place I own, in order to take care of that tree, but up to now we have never been owners, we have always rent the houses in which we have lived... Once we did buy a plot of land and Luis asked me to plant my tree there, but I didn't.
We were cheated with that investment so it was good that I haven't plant my beloved tree there.
But now I will leave Mexico and my mother promised me to take care of all my plants and pots, but I cannot stand that my tree still has to wait for a piece of land in order to be planted. I asked my mother if I can plant my tree at her place, but she told me that around her house there are many people that cannot stand having to sweep everyday the street because of the leaves that fall down from trees. They are trees haters, they have even dried up trees pouring them with benzine! I cannot understand these bastards... and of course I cannot take the risk of planting my tree there.
So I decided to plant it here in the place I am living right now... we don't own the place, but we have been very happy here and I hope my tree will grow big and one day when I come back here I will find that beautiful lavanda color frond that all adult jacaranda trees have.
My teenager son helped me to plant my jacaranda. It was quite an emotive act for me, and although he asked me not to speak with my tree after it was planted, I did speak with it :)))
