Feelings...

I have posted these paintings from different times, because although I always try to paint with feelings... I remember exactly what I felt when I was doing these particular paintings.
Some of these paintings were done direct from the model, others were done in the loneliness of my studio, but in all of these the feelings that make me do them were overwhelming.
José Freitas Cruz has made a wonderful essay regarding Feelings: Key-word: Feel, which I absolutely recommend because it explains how important is "feeling" regarding Art. I truly believe that if a piece of art needs an explanation, it is then very far away from ART.

Copies?

My virtual friend Frikosal has posted an interesting question, a work of art based in another work of art is worth?
Most of my painter friends do their paintings out from photos that others have taken. I refuse to do that, because in my opinion more than 70% of the painting is not yours...
The 2D image, the frame, the colors, the composition, the focus... shall I go on? Well, all that stuff was merit of the one that has taken the pic, wasn't it?
In my case I even refuse to paint from photos I have taken, because I do believe in the own painter visual digestion...
But well, that's my very personal point of view...because now comes to my mind one of the greatest painters in the world: Vincent Van Gogh and some of the most beautiful paintings he has made were copies of Millet :)

Alizee Gourmandises
Today I went to paint direct from model and my friends there were talking about a new Lolita from France... I looked for her in the web...she touched me...she really spreads sensuality! a body, a face...they can tell so much :)

More good NEWS
This year is a year of changes....
I will soon move to London...of course, I have a lot of things to fit here. Changing residence is not so easy... And because of that, last year I wasn't able to prepare an exhibition here. In Mexico, most renown galleries program their exhibitions the year before.
I was somehow sad, because I was going to leave my country without having a show here this year.
But....more good news. I received a call... I will have a solo exhibition in a wonderful space in Mexico City. When? In APRIL!!!
Thanks..........

Geklappt!

Geklappt!!! I have chosen this word because I love the way it sounds.... it is like when everything fits right and you hear a gorgeous "Click Clap" sound that means that everything matches :))) And that is its meaning too: Es hat geklappt!
Yes, Spain wrote me that they will move my residence to Mid November. That means I will be painting in Ireland from 12th September-26th October, then I will have my show in Dublin in ART IRELAND, and then I will go to Spain to paint another full month in Albacete :)))
Here I am posting some other pics from CILL RIALAIG :) Someone told me it is one of the most mystic places on earth....

My tiny tiny studio in Coyoacan
After seeing the kind of studio I will be provided in Cill Rialaig....I wanted to take a pic of my actual studio.
Next time I will post come pics of that enchanted place in Ireland... I wonder how a place may influence your work...
In this tiny tiny studio I am the happiest soul, before going inside my shelter I say hello to all the plants I have in pots just in front of my place of work... now most of them are blooming :)))
