Hi5 and teenagers...

I finally agreed to join Hi5. I think that it is a teenager site, but my children insisted on inviting me and I thought it was a good way to know their virtual and non virtual friends...so, why not?
They helped me with my profile, they have chosen my presentation pic (the one I am posting here too) and they told me I had to write a description of myself.

"But don't start talking about your paintings!" told me Luis, "you rather say the truth about yourself"
"What truth?"
"You should write for example: I talk with cats and I am completely crazy, do you want to get to know me?"

Yesterday my son asked me if I have had some friend requests.

"Yes, in fact today I opened my page and I had 35 friend requests, and guess what? most of them were your teenager friends!"
"What???! My friends contacted you??? Who did? Don't tell me that you agreed"
"Of course not..."
"Oh, but my friends have had for sure read the description you gave about yourself!"
"I guess..."
"Oh mother, now they will for sure think that you are completely nuts!
I am so embarrased!" and out of the blue he changed my options so that none of his friends could see my description :)

Can somebody help me? What do I have to do in order to please my teenager son?

HISTORIA DE UN LETRERO (THE STORY OF A SIGN)

May 25th

Today (May 25th) is a very special day for me. My two men have birthday today :) Yes my son is today 16 years old and my husband is today 43. Both of them are bond by numbers... now both of them are 7 (1+6=7, and 4+3=7) It has always been like that, they always get the same age :) and I love these kind of things because once more I am certain that life is magic.

Luis Alberto loves Rome, and his birthday present was a trip to that amazing city. He must be there right now... I am posting here a 5 year old pic where we both were in Rome.

The less you want to be noticed the more you are...

I have celebrated so much, that I was a little bit embarrased, so I decided to post small pics of our party in Tlayacapan, in order to appear less...but a friend noticed it and told me...

That makes me remember the times when I was a teenager. In that time like most teenagers feel about themselves, I felt I was very ugly..., so in order to be less noticed I covered my face with my hair, at that time I had very long hair (up to the waistline) and what happened? I was noticed more...

Tlayacapan and Cicada

Honoring my blogger friend Frikosal, who loves bugs... I am posting here the first pic I have made from a bug... I am not a good photographer at all but this is the first time in my life that I have found a cicada. We found this beautiful insect while we were in the pool...One of my painter friends has a beautiful house in Tlayacapan, a beautiful town in Morelos, what I enjoy the most was the good company and the house on a tree! Since I was a little girl I dreamed of a house like that :)

Nadihelli's day

I have a model. Her name is Nadihelli... I have painted her at least 100 times :)
in every technique I know... and in all formats up to a 2 meter portrait...
Once she asked me, if it wasn't boring for me to paint her. On the contrary, I told her, when I know I am going to make a portrait of you, I always come to you with emotion: don't ask me why, I myself don't know the answer.

My relation with Nadihelli has been very special, I have "seen" her (with the eyes of a painter) so many times that I know her... Now she is one of my dearest friends.
It is impossible to say in words when a painter and a model find that connection... I only know that in times when the muses are gone, I ask Nadihelli to pose for me and the muses come back in that moment.

Nadihelli has a beautiful face, I think that her portraits are much more sensual than my nudes. She is also like a butterfly, if you see her at normal life, she is a cute girl, but when she is in front of a canvas she transforms and I am able to see her real beauty, which is beyond her facial features. LA is an architect, and from time to time he loves to paint too. I remember one day that Nadihelli was going to come to my place to pose for me. I asked him to paint her too. At the end of that session I asked him to show me what he has painted. He told me, he couldn't... he hasn't painted anything at all, because he was overwhelmed by the emotion of that face posing for him... Yes, looking with painter eyes and specially with Nadihelli is quite another story...

This weekend was Nadihelli's day. It was a very simple wedding in a garden, but it was so beautiful! It was the best wedding I have ever been... I was there with my children and we all could feel the emotion of that couple in love. Nadihelli was prettier than ever, I was seeing her with my painter eyes...I wished I'd have my watercolors or my pastels in that moment... I am sure they will have a great marriage...love was in the air :)
